Welcome to Second Nature Design!

I began my landscape design company in 2001 with the goal of assisting homeowners in creating beautiful outdoor environments that they can live in and enjoy.

Surrounding ourselves with beauty is not too hard here in the Northwest, as we have a wide range of plant materials to choose from. The process of working with people to articulate what they desire, creating solutions for existing issues and plant selections that give all season interest and enjoyment are some of the aspects I most enjoy!

I think of my work as a collaboration with my client. Designing outdoor personal space is a balance between creative vision and practical guidance. When these two aspects are present, the result is a landscape that is both functional and beautiful at the same time!

I can refer you to and will work with landscape contractors that can take your design and convert it to real life. If you are installing it yourself, I can assist you in taking the steps needed to make it come together. I can even provide you with the plant materials to complete the job if needed.
